no one has posted here for a long time, but to my delight i just found it
so I just must say that I LOVE dead things.....
my house is full of dead critters (live ones too though), skulls, talons, wings, an insect collection, bones
old rusty things that don't work anymore etc......
lovely to find kindred folks.....

dead mouse and my kids

There was a dead mouse in our front flower bed that for some morbid reason I never buried, so my daughters got to see firsthand what teh decay process is like, and it seemed to fascinate them. Weaver went out with them a couple weeks ago and found it's bones and beautiful, delicate little skull lying there in the dirt, so they brought in a few choice bones and we cleaned them with alcohol. Neato stuff.

Train Suicide 11/12/04

I have posted some new pictures from the day after a train suicide. I could not get down to take any pictures on the night it happened because the cops would not let me. This is the best I could do for now.

Dead Pitbull

Hey guys remember that dead pitbull on the tracks in the album? Well I was seeing him slowly deteriorate and wanted to keep a part of him.....so I went down there and tried to take his head off....very tough thing to do. I decieded to just leave his neck on the track to remove it. Sure enough the next day ...voila a head severed off by the train. I put it in a bag and it is hidden for now. I need to figure out what to do with it now. I'll let you know.

Well how do I start? Hope you enjoy this tribe. I have always been facinated by "Dead Things" Now that I live near a set of railroad tracks you would never believe some of the things I've seen. I will share more when i figure out my new scanner as I have lots that I took before getting digital. So be on the lookout.

Just in case you're wondering why there's a living kid in the photo album it's because that's Rodney. He is the son of a friend who collects dead things and let me snap some of his stuff. Just thought you should know.
